ITALY (Verona) – A “new start” event in the name of business, ensuring an international and high-profile setting to bring together the world of wine in a secure exhibition venue of 300,000 square meters. This is the project summary for the 54th Vinitaly, which will be held at the Veronafiere from June 20 to 23, 2021, after the prologue of the exceptional selection for the tenth anniversary of OperaWine on June 19.
This edition will focus on the revival of the sector and the resumption of commercial relations through personal presence. “It will be a unique Vinitaly,” said the president of Veronafiere, Maurizio Danese, “where everyone is called to do their part to highlight the central role of Italian wine worldwide. Organizers, companies, institutions and media who wish to participate can do so knowing the importance of being part of a live event.”
Veronafiere continues to monitor the evolution of the scenarios in the reference markets through its network of partners and international representatives, as well as constant contact with the relevant authorities. In this respect, the deadline for registration for the fair has been extended to April 12. Further actions will be developed along two lines:
Incoming buyers and trade actors Vinitaly, in collaboration with ICE-Italian Trade Agency, is making significant investments in a flexible project that can be modulated in terms of scenarios and equally capable of absorbing any changes in the international context that may occur in the next four months. The main objective of Vinitaly 2021 concerns major initiatives focused on incoming trade players and buyers from the main destination countries in the EU. Another focus is the recovery of the domestic market, involving buyers and players from strategic supply chains for the sale and consumption of Italian wine. Veronafiere CEO Giovanni Mantovani said, “Vinitaly 2021 remains strongly focused on appropriately selected and invited b2b contacts. Italy and Europe are the largest production and consumption markets in the world. If conditions are favorable, we are also ready to move in terms of demand from outside Europe, starting with the US. Planning with ICE for incoming visitors has already begun and the goal is to ensure buyers and operators come to the event. March will be all about meeting with companies and developing relationships with markets.”

Finally, the air conditioning system has been technologically upgraded to allow temperature and humidity control over the entire indoor area of the exhibition, with air exchange controlled according to the strictest standards.
